The love triangle

What Do You Define as Love?

Is it the butterflies you feel?
The good morning texts?
The I love yous?
The dates, the late-night talks,
Or the warmth of being near them?

Maybe it’s the image of that handsome face
You can’t get out of your mind.

But what if love is in the arguments with your sibling,
Or in the friends who bring out your true joy?
Could it be found in the moments spent
With your boys or your girls?

Perhaps love is forgiveness,
Or the strength to let someone go
When it’s time to set them free.

Could love be hidden in the discipline from your parents,
The “torture” you once thought it was?

Or maybe—just maybe—
Love is all of this, and more,
Boundless, imperfect, and yet perfect in its own way.

In the end, I believe—
God is love.
